Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!

Dr. King was a prime example of peaceful protest, and we'd like to show our thanks for his life's work. He fought for equality with knowledge and genuine words, not weapons.

Thank you Dr. King.

This is a rare photograph of MLK from my experience.. nice. Also, I love the fact that it's been edited to have the word "resist" next to him. Did you do this yourself, (the editing, obviously you didn't take the photograph,) or did you just luck out and find it like this from a search engine or something?

  2. Hey Addison! Yeah as far as I can recall, I had actually never seen this image until I was looking for an image to include with this blog post. I was fairly confident this was the one I wanted to use, but once I saw the "resist" over his left shoulder, I HAD to use this as the photograph to recognize Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! I DID do some light editing of the image, but only about a minute's worth of adjusting levels, that's it. I certainly don't take any credit for it. You're welcome to copy the image and/or save it. Thanks for reading Artistic Resistance!
